Features Description |
Potentilla erecta is a perennial plant growing up to 40cm, with oval, toothed, green leaves and yellow flowers. The flowering lasts from May to August and the harvesting of bulbs takes place either from March to April or from September to October, while the harvesting of the above-ground parts of the plant takes place in June. |
Method Administration |
The plant is administered in the form of compress of the herbal tea (30-60g of dried plant in a 1L of boiled water) which is applied to inflamed areas. It is also administered in the form of infusion (3 times daily), tincture (1: 5 parts of plant and ethyl alcohol 70%, 2-4mL, 3 times a day) and powder or ointment for external use against wounds and bleedingWarning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist. The substances they contain may interact with the subscribed drugs that the patient already takes, thus eliminating their therapeutic efficacy or inducing toxicity. The whole plant has hemostatic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and anti-diarrheal properties. It is also administered in the form compress of the herbal tea for the treatment of bruises, sunburn and other skin problems. It is recommended against dysentery, inflammation of the gums, eyes, mouth and throat (gargling). Finally, the herbal tea promotes the elimination of the addictive alkaloids and is effective in the rehabilitation of drug addicts. |
