Features Description Agropyron repens is a perennial herbaceous height growing from 10 to 120cm, with oblong, green leaves and long, white roots. The flowering lasts from June to September and the harvesting takes place from March to April and from September to October.
Method Administration The plant is administered as diuretic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and emollient in the form of herbal tea (30-50g of dried herb in a 1L of boiled water, 3 times daily)Warning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist. The substances they contain may interact with the subscribed drugs that the patient already takes, thus eliminating their therapeutic efficacy or inducing toxicity. They may also burden further weakened vital functions of the body thus exposing the patient to increased morbidity and life threatened conditions.
Pharmacological Info The whole plant has emollient, diuretic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and is recommended for the treatment of kidney stones, gallstones, involuntary nocturnal enuresis, cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis and rheumatism. The herbal extract is applied externally to relieve the swollen limb.
