Features Description |
Micromeria juliana is a perennial herbaceous plant growing from 10 to 50cm, with lanceolate or linear, long, plush leaves and hermaphrodite, small, red flowers (4-20 in number) in inflorescences. The flowering and the harvesting take place from June to July, while the fruiting lasts from August to September. |
Method Administration |
The plant is administered as diuretic and tonic in the form herbal tea (6g of dried herb in 2 cups of boiled water, twice a day, one in the morning and one in the evening, for 10 days)Warning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist. The whole plant has diuretic action and it is administered in the form of herbal tea for the treatment of nephrolithiasis and hyperacidity. Also it has tonic, stimulant, healing and soothing properties and it is recommended against gastric ulcers, helminths, cold, bronchitis, oral (gargle) and skin wounds and the travel sickness. |
