Features Description Reseda lutea is an annual or biennial herbaceous plant growing from 30 to 60cm, with lobe, lanceolate, green leaves and yellow flowers in inflorescences. The flowering and the harvesting take place from April to September.
Method Administration The plant is administered as healing and sedative in the form of herbal tea (2 spoons of dried herb in a cup of boiled water, 2-3 times a day), in folk medicineWarning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist. The substances they contain may interact with the subscribed drugs that the patient already takes, thus eliminating their therapeutic efficacy or inducing toxicity. They may also burden further weakened vital functions of the body thus exposing the patient to increased morbidity and life threatened conditions.
Pharmacological Info The aboveground plant part is used in folk medicine as healing, soothing, relaxing, diuretic and diaphoretic. Nowadays the medicinal use of the plant is limited, however the crumbled root is used as a flavor in the food industry (spicy) and as yellow dye.
