Features Description |
Tragopogon pratensis is a biennial or perennial herb growing up to 0,6m, with lanceolate, green leaves and yellow or red, hermaphrodite flowers in inflorescences. The flowering lasts from June to July, the fruiting happens from August to September and the harvesting takes place from January to March. |
Method Administration |
The whole plant is administered against rheumatism and skin diseases in the form of herbal tea (20-24g of dried herb in 1L of boiled water, 2-3 times a day) as well as a diuretic in the form of infusion (1: 5 or 1:10 parts of dried herb and boiling water)Warning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist. The root has astringent, diuretic and expectorant properties and it is used in the form of herbal tea for the treatment of persistent cough, bronchitis, heartburn and various liver disorders. |
