Features Description |
Glycyrrhiza glabra is a perennial, herbaceous plant growing from 0,5 to 1,5m, with pinnate, green leaves and blue flowers in inflorescences. The flowering happens in summer and the harvesting takes place all year round. |
Method Administration |
The whole plant is administered for the treatment of adrenal problems in the form of herbal tea (2-3g of dried herb in a quantity of boiled milk or 50g of dried herb in 1L of boiled water, 3 times a day)Warning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist. The herbal tea is recommended for the treatment of various adrenal problems as Addison's disease. Also it may be used against stress as it can reduce cortisol levels. It is administered to treat gastritis, peptic ulcer, runny nose, bronchitis and cough. In folk medicine it is used against osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), malaria, tuberculosis, food poisoning and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). |
