| Features Description | Solanum melongena is an annual plant growing up to 1m, with large, wavy, pubescent leaves and large, purple, with large yellow stamens flowers. The fruits are oval or spherical, pear-shaped, violet, black or white rails, which are single or dotted depending on the variety. The flowering and the harvesting take place from July to September, while the fruiting happens from August to October. |
| Method Administration | The plant is administered as antihypertensive and anticholesterolemic in the form of herbal tea (two spoons of dried herb in a cup of boiled water, up to 3 times a day). It is applied externally to the skin in the form of poultice, as well in the form of powder, made from dried fruits, which is used either directly on the hemorrhoids or after mixing with an oily base (for 15 days).Warning: The use of herb preparations is not recommended without seeking advice from your physician or pharmacist.
